New Zealand Adventure Activity Safety Standards
Your safety is our highest priority at Canyoning New Zealand. Every adventure is carefully planned, professionally guided and supported by safety systems designed to manage the risks involved in canyoning.
Our guides are experienced outdoor professionals with strong knowledge of canyon environments, technical canyoning skills and dynamic risk management. We run regular in-house training and encourage our team to work towards recognised qualifications through the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association (NZOIA) or an internationally recognised equivalent.
As a high-risk adventure activity operator in New Zealand, Canyoning New Zealand is independently safety audited under the New Zealand Adventure Activity Regulations. We are proud to be safety audit certified and approved to operate guided canyoning adventures.
Part of our responsibility is ensuring every participant understands the nature of the activity before taking part. All participants are required to read and understand our Risk Acknowledgement Information at the time of booking and again prior to participating.
